ELDEPRYL- ANXIETY

Eldepryl is a neuro-protection agent that keeps your nerve cells away from damages and nerve-racking conditions. Eldepryl can energize your psyche with its antidepressant like effects and help you overcome painful anxiety disorder situations. Being one of the oldest drugs in its class, Eldepryl is a legend.

Eldepryl – Summary:
Eldepryl is the brand name of selegiline hydrochloride, a levorotatory acetylene derivative of phenethylamine. Eldepryl is an MAO inhibitor and it is commonly referred to in the clinical and pharmacological literature as l-deprenyl. Eldepryl was first used as a ‘psychic energizer’ in the mid-1960s. However after years of research, Eldepryl is found to be an effective protector of Dopamine, a chemical in the brain that controls the tremors, contraction and nervous breakdowns related to anxiety. Eldepryl helps in the treatment of diseases like Parkinson’s disease, and may cure other medical problems too.

Eldepryl Mechanism:
The precise information on the chemical mechanisms that make Eldepryl a successful treatment for anxiety related tremors and spasms are not exactly elucidated. Selegiline is best known for its feature of irreversible inhibition of monoamine oxidase (MAO), an intracellular enzyme that is associated with the outer membrane of mitochondria. Eldepryl protects selective cells in the age-related dopaminergic nervous system degeneration from the increase of the non neuron brain cells that contain MAO-B. Eldepryl may be combined with other drugs for the successful treatment of certain ailments.
